The Environmental Working Group found 287 chemicals in the blood of 10 Americans – who were they? NEWBORNS.  These chemicals: 151 linked to birth defects, 130 affect the immune system and 157 that are toxic to the nervous system. We do know that 1 out of  80 boys is diagnosed with Autism, 1 in every 10 children have Asthma and 1 in every 6 children have a developmental Disability.

The EPA and the U.S. Surgeon General acknowledged more studies are needed to determine the relationship between chemical/pesticide exposure and harmful effects as well as a dramatic increase inlearning disabilities, aggression, dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder amongst our children (1 in 6 American children are currently afflicted with the above disorders). Children have particular vulnerabilities

to pesticides because they consume more food per unit of body weight than adults...and because their organs, nervous and immune systems are still developing.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has estimated that 76 million people in the United States get sick every year with some sort of foodborne illness and that approximately 5000 die.
